The boring range of 1 9/16" to 4" it can machine two bearing journals at a time. Variable speeds and and variable feed. Manual feed for cutting faces and flanges. The 44" long 1 1/2" diameter boring bar has 17 tool positions. Quick initial centering on the main bearing bore with precision machined centering cones. Pan rails are positioned against two precision ground locating pads that are parallel to top plane of boring machine. Direct-reading micrometer and comparator prevent mistakes when setting tooling (micrometer is available in SAE or metric.) Replaceable carbide cutters eliminate the need for resharpening. Newly designed and more rigid heavy duty cast iron base. |
